IVA will be hosting its tryouts in late October and early November, beginning in week one with a set of dates for 12's - 14's, followed by several days just after the IHSAA State Finals for 15's - 18's. IVA has a proven philosophy of limiting the duration of the tryout period. Therefore, the club will be offering a range of three to four opportunities per age group, all within a week's period of time for the younger age groups and the older age groups. IVA begins the grueling process of forming teams immediately. Upon notification of team offer, athlete and family has twenty-four hours to accept. All IVA teams will formed by November 29 with many formed by November 18.

Specific times will be posted on grid below by end of August and are subject to change. Please check the website often to keep apprised of new dates or changes to current schedule. Please plan on attending as many sessions as possible. IVA intends on providing dates and times that offer the athlete ample opportunity to attend tryouts at other clubs. However, multiple attendance at IVA's tryouts certainly provides club staff their best chance at successful evaluation and is strongly advised.

IVA intends to cap the total number of athletes trying out at 400. Last year IVA handled 380 athletes. In an effort to remain efficient and give each athlete the correct evaluation, we'll examine registrations based on age groups and potentially cut off registrations if numbers get too large. Therefore, online registration is available via our homepage. Register early and pay the $300 fee to insure your position in tryouts and to enable our staff ample opportunity to organize each age group. IVA's tryout fee will be applied to total club fee if athlete commits to an IVA team. A refund of $200 will be provided those who are offered a position but decline. In the rare situation that IVA cannot offer a position, the full $300 will be refunded.
